The EV-series, also known as the EV-class, was a series of droids manufactured by MerenData that included the EV-series medical droid and EV-series supervisor droid. Many EV units had a programming defect that caused them to exhibit cruel behavior, forcing MerenData to issue a mass recall, from which few escaped. Some surviving EV-series droids were repurposed as interrogator droids by the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Galactic Empire.
