The IT-000 interrogator droid was a next generation interrogator droid used by the First Order. A corruption of medical droid tech, it harked back to an earlier model used by the Galactic Empire, and was created in violation of the anti-torture laws enacted by the New Republic. The droids were equipped with both the ability to speak and record the responses of its victims, thus allowing the unit to work without supervision. An IT-000 designated IT-000-XZ 1594 was used by Kylo Ren when he began his interview with the enemy pilot Poe Dameron above the planet Jakku.
In the book Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition, IT-000 interrogator droids are erroneously called JT-000 Interrogator Droids.
