The LC-24 fire droid was a model of droid used for fighting fires. Equipped with dousing gear and heat-resistant shielding, the LC-24 fire droid used life-form indicators to detect survivors from a distance, transmitting such information to rescuers and medical droids. The Resistance used a number of LC-24 fire droids at their base on Ajan Kloss, particularly when landing starships without any proper landing facilities.
