Sweeper droid

A sweeper droid was a type of cleaning droid that was used to clean the streets of the planet Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Republic During the Clone Wars. In 3 ABY, Sweeper droids were employed across the Outer Rim, such as on the planet Tatooine and the space station of Renpalli Station.

In 21 BBY, during the height of the Clone Wars, General Grievous of the Confederacy of Independent Systems designed the infiltrator demolition droid based on the sweeper droid models in use on Coruscant, to infiltrate and eventually destroy Coruscant's central power distribution grid.
