Tomb Guardian

The Tomb Guardians were ancient automatons constructed by the Zeffonian species. They protected the sacred tombs and crypts on the planet Zeffo, attacking intruders due to a programmed response, rather than out of malice or defense. Tomb Guardians were also present in a Temple on Ontotho. Tomb Guardians were powered by a power core located above the central abdomen. Tomb Guardians could blast energy out of the core.

Tomb Guardians were created for the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment. Concept art for the Tomb Guardians was done by Jean-Francois Rey and Bruno Werneck. They were first pictured on a variant cover for the comic Jedi Fallen Order - Dark Temple 1, published by Marvel Comics on September 4, 2019. Tomb Guardians first appeared in Jedi Fallen Order - Dark Temple 4, written by Matthew Rosenberg, illustrated by Paolo Villanelli, and published on November 13, 2019.
